About

Combination of academic depth

Prof. Rami Yosef is a Full Professor of Actuarial Science and Finance at the Faculty of Management, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a leading expert in actuarial science, insurance, pensions, and finance.

He serves as Head of the Finance and Actuarial Science specializations in the Department of Business Administration. He previously served as Head of the Department of Business Administration (2012-2015) and as Head of the Department of Public Policy and Administration (2015-2016).

Alongside his academic work, Prof. Yosef serves as President of the Israel Association of Actuaries (AIA). He previously served as President of the Israeli Association of Valuators and Financial Actuaries (IAVFA) from 2017 to 2025. Between 2007 and 2015, he was a partner at Shay Sapir Actuaries & Consultants, and since 2025 he has been a member of the Directors Training Committee at the Israeli Government Companies Authority.

His research and professional fields include finance, actuarial science, insurance, and pensions, combining advanced academic methodology with practical implementation in the business and legal arenas.

Prof. Yosef is recognized as an expert by Israeli courts and provides actuarial and economic expert opinions to public and private entities, including the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Israel, insurance companies, pension funds, financial institutions, and law firms.
